UK start-up Aquature chose Antwerp as its European base for its strong circular-chemistry ecosystem. Its bio-electrochemical process converts wastewater into hydrogen and green chemicals, creating energy-positive treatment. Supported by BlueChem, Aquature plans industrial pilots in Antwerp’s port to scale sustainable water and energy recovery across Europe.
